I’m lucky enough to have been able to build a log cabin studio in a corner of my garden not long after I moved to the Island. The studio is my bolthole. Living in a house with two teenage daughters, an elderly father and a dog means that I don’t get a lot of time or space to myself, both of which tend to be essential components needed for creativity. So having a separate studio, outside the house, but still close enough to be on hand if needed (constantly) has been a life saver.
